A Loyalist College student, who travelled to Canada to attend classes, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The college put out a statement on social media Tuesday afternoon saying the student is not showing symptoms and that public health staff will be notifying anyone that student was in contact with.
The statement goes on to say that the student has been in quarantine since arriving in the country and hasn’t been on campus, so the risk to the Loyalist student and staff population is very low.
The college says the student will continue to be in contact with public health authorities as they continue to self-isolate.
