The public information meeting for the application to amend zoning by-laws by Picton Terminals is taking place Tuesday.
The owners of the industrial port are seeking permission to add two 120 foot long docks to accommodate large cruise and cargo ships.
The owners believe having proper docking accommodation for cruise ships will be a boost for both the local and regional economy.
The meeting will be open to the public via application and attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the plans. Anyone wishing to attend must email pthompson@pecounty.on.ca. Physical distancing rules will be in place at the meeting which will be held in two sessions starting at 6 p.m. at the Prince Edward Community Centre in Picton.
