The by-law pertaining to off-road vehicles will not be changed to include dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles on municipal roads in Quinte West.
The topic was broached at Quinte West City council’s meeting Monday and Councillor Terry Cassidy provided insight as to why he opposed changing it.
Inspector Christina Reive of the Quinte West OPP detachment had her say on the subject and backed up what was in the report sent to council.
The discussion on the topic was relatively quick as multiple councillors disagreed with dirt bikes and other all-terrain vehicles hitting the road.
After further discussion it was officially decided the by-law would remain the same.
