A strange occurrence on Highway 62 called for police attention around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Belleville.
Officers were at an intersection on Highway 62 and Millenium Parkway after they received calls about a woman running into traffic and smashing her head on the windows of nearby vehicles.
Police were able to calm the woman down and brought her to Belleville General Hospital to get mental health assistance.
No vehicles were damaged and the woman was not injured.
