While there hasn’t been a new case of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward counties since mid-May, it’s a different story in Northumberland County.
At the end of last week, there had been only 21 confirmed cases of covid in Northumberland but in its update yesterday (Monday) the local health unit announced three new cases had been discovered, bringing the total to 24.
Twenty one of those people have recovered and one person remains in hospital.
Meanwhile, the number of high risk contacts in Northumberland County has also increased to seven, up from one last week.
