New residential construction is making up the bulk of planned projects in the City of Quinte West.
Last month the city’s building department issued a total of 96 building permits valued at $9.5 million.
Construction of new residential units made up almost $6.3 million of that total.
So far this year 323 permits have been issued in Quinte West for a value of close to $42 million.
That total is way down from last year’s record building year which saw $93 million worth of construction in the first six months.
