Residents, contractors, developers and utility companies are being invited to complete a short online survey as part of a review of the City of Belleville’s right-of-way and driveway access by-laws and related processes.
Anyone planning to work within the municipal right-of-way must obtain a permit, often referred to as a road occupancy or road cut permit.
The City of Belleville is seeking feedback on user experience with the current permitting process, including requirements, communication and overall ease of use.
The city says in a press release that the survey takes approximately five to seven minutes to complet.
They say it will help identify opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency and customer service.
“Feedback from those who use these permits is essential as we work to make our processes clearer and more efficient,” says Joe Reid, Director of Transportation and Operations Services, in the release.
“We encourage anyone who has experience with right-of-way or entrance permits to take a few minutes to share their input.”

The survey will remain open until May 18.
