A young man was lucky to escape injury early this morning after driving a vehicle into a hydro pole in Belleville’s East Riverside Park.
The collision occurred at 2:30 this morning (Wednesday) and snapped the pole in half. The vehicle was also heavily damaged.
There were no reports of power outages but Veridian crews had to be called to the scene.
A 26-year-old man faces a careless driving charge.
