On June 28, 2020 just after 11:30 p.m., a member of The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Conley Road in Wellington.
As a result, a 40-year-old male from Prince Edward County had his driving privileges suspended.
As this was a fourth such occurrence, the licence was suspended for 30 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) as a result of an “Alert” reading on the approved screening device.
Later in the evening, Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue contacted the OPP to request assistance with a number of grass fires at multiple locations.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue crews worked to extinguish the fires.
Crews located fireworks at those locations.
The investigation remains ongoing.
