The Quinte West Youth Centre, like many other organizations, is struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The centre’s management is asking Quinte West council to forgive several months of rent totalling $9,000.
Because of the pandemic, the youth centre in Trenton has been closed and most fundraising activities had to be cancelled.
At its virtual meeting tonight (6:30) council will see a staff recommendation that it waive the rent for the months of April through December.
Council has previously forgiven rent usually charged to the Quinte West Soccer Club because of COVID-19 restrictions.
