The Quinte West Public Library is excited to announce that home delivery service will resume Monday, June 8, 2020. This service is for community members who live in retirement and nursing homes, or who are homebound and cannot access the Curbside Pickup service option.
Customers, or close family members on their behalf, are invited to sign up for this service, which delivers staff-selected library material to the doorstep. Library cardholders can sign-up through the website or by contacting Krista at 613-394-3381 x 3325 or kristar@quintewest.ca.
“We are excited to resume this valuable service to help people who might be anxious to leave their homes, or find it difficult to get to the library for Curbside Pickup,” says Suzanne Humphreys, Library CEO. “We will ensure safe, contactless delivery of regular print, large print or books on CD according to specified authors or genres.”
The Library continues to offer safe and easy curbside pickup of library material at both locations. The return bin is also open in Trenton and Frankford. Returned materials are quarantined for 72 hours after their arrival.
The Library will continue to provide updates as their phased reopening continues. Quinte West residents who do not have a library card can apply online or contact the Library. Library cardholders can continue to access online resources through www.library.quintewest.ca. Library staff are also answering questions during office hours via email circ@quintewest.ca or customers can leave a voicemail at 613-394-3381x 3323. For updates on the situation, please visit www.library.quintewest.ca or follow the Quinte West Public Library on Facebook and Instagram.
