OPP say a section of the eastbound Highway 401 has reopened after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.
Through a Tweet, police say the suspect’s car had been driving erratically around 3:00 p.m., when it sideswiped another vehicle before rolling over and crashing into the concrete centre median just east of Highway 37.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police had closed the roadway between Highway 37 and Shannonville Road for just under three hours, with the detours removed just before 6:00 p.m.
OPP say charges are pending.

One person has been taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound Highway 401 Wednesday afternoon and a section of the highway is closed.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just east of Highway 37, just after 3:00 p.m., where the car had rolled onto its roof and the driver had to be extricated.
Social media reports indicated the crash happened after police tried to stop an erratic driver, but that has yet to be confirmed.
OPP say the higway is closed between Highway 37 and Shannonville Road and will be until further notice, with drivers being detoured off the 401 up to Blessington Road and back down again.

A crash on the eastbound Highway 401 is tying up traffic this hour.
Firefighters and OPP responded just after 3:00 p.m., to the eastbound lanes east of Highway 37, to reports of a single-vehicle rollover.
Initial reports from the scene indicate at least one person may need to be extricated from the vehicle, with social media reports indicating the crash happened after police tried to stop an erratic driver.
No other information was immediately available, but drivers should avoid the eastbound 401, near Highway 37, as traffic is expected to be slow in the area while crews work at the scene.
Police are on scene detouring drivers off the 401 at Highway 37 and there’s no word on how long that detour will be in place for.
