Forward Morgan Klimchuk has been named the Belleville Senators recipient of the IOA/American Specialty Man of the Year Award.
One player from each of the American Hockey League’s 32 teams receives the award, which recognizes players for their outstanding contributions to the local community, with one of those players winning the league-wide Yanick Dupre Memorial Award.
Klimchuk has been a large part of the B-Sens charitable and community initiatives including, school and hospital visits, the club’s All In program with minor hockey teams, helping out with the Gleaner’s Food Bank and more.
Boston Leier, who now plays with the ECHL Kalamazoo Wings, was Belleville’s Man of the Year last season.
