Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has added five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 to its ongoing list.
That brings the total number in the area to 13, including one death, which was reported on Tuesday afternoon.
The health unit says two of the new cases were transmitted through community spread, two were travel related and one was transmitted through close contact with another positive, or probable case.
A breakdown of total lab-confirmed cases shows six acquired through travel, four through close contact and three through community spread.
The number of probable cases in the community is also up 20 from Tuesday, to 254.

Meanwhile the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit says there are 64 confirmed COVID-19 cases in its coverage area, including 15 in Northumberland County and a 90-year-old man in Haliburton.
There have also been 13 deaths in the HKPR area, all in the City of Kawartha Lakes, including 11 at a nursing home that experienced an outbreak of the virus.
