Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting another lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in its coverage area.
As has been the policy, specific details on the patients including where they live, their age and current condition, were not released.
However, the health unit says the patient’s COVID-19 diagnosis was confirmed this past Saturday and that it was likely transmitted through close contact with another positive case.
In total, there are seven lab-confirmed cases of the virus in Hastings and Prince Edward counties, with three transmitted by close contact and four positive tests related to travel.
The health unit will continue to update its COVID-19 information page daily by 2:00 p.m.
