Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting one new lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in the area.
That brings the total number of positives tests in the region to six.
The most recent case was confirmed yesterday and posted on the health unit website today and is believed to have been transmitted while the patient was travelling.
That means four of six confirmed cases in our area have been travel related, two have been transmitted through close contact to those that have travelled and there are no community transmitted cases locally.
The health unit will update those numbers daily and says it will not be releasing specifics on where the patients or from, or anything about their identities or conditions, in the interest of patient privacy.
