Belleville, Ontario – Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings has announced the following operational changes as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic:
1. The Belleville ReStore, located at 365 Bell Blvd. in Belleville, is now closed to the public until Monday, April 6th.
2. Anyone wishing to donate furniture, appliances, or materials to the ReStore who requires pick-up is asked to call 613-962-7526 extension 208 and leave their information so that we can make future arrangements.
3. We are not accepting drop-off donations currently. Our eWaste depot remains open outside our building; customers may drop off their electronic waste just inside the fence gate at the northeast corner of the building.
4. Our Affiliate office, also located at 365 Bell Blvd., is closed to the public until Monday, April 6th, however staff are still available via telephone (613-962-7526) or email (info@habitatpeh.org) as needed.
“Closing our operations to the public is the socially responsible thing to do,” said Glenn May-Anderson, Executive Director of Habitat PEH. “We will continue to monitor the situation, take guidance from our public health unit and various levels of government, and will adjust or extend closures as needed.”
The “Hockey for Habitat” fundraiser with the Belleville Senators, originally scheduled for this Friday, March 20th, has also been postponed indefinitely. Sponsors and ticket purchasers will be contacted directly regarding their options, as more information becomes available.
