There was a tragedy on the Norris Whitney Bridge during the snowstorm early last (Saturday) night.
A woman died and a man was seriously injured when their snowmobile slid off the bridge as they rode into Belleville from Prince Edward County.
Belleville police say the collision occurred around 7:30 last night.
A 52-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were rushed to Belleville General Hospital and then both were to be transferred to hospital in Kingston.
The woman died during that process. Along with police, Hastings-Quinte paramedics and Belleville firefighters responded.
