Council in Centre Hastings have directed staff to work with the volunteers at the Madoc off-leash dog park to find a solution to the problem before them.
Volunteers approached council earlier this month asking for the municipality to take over the legal responsibility for the park because they lack the volunteers and expertise.
Mayor Tom Deline says it was an easy decision for council to make.
The staff report to council will be presented in the next couple of months according to Deline.
