A fire that destroyed a garage on Monday night on Bethel Road has been determined to be accidental.
Fire Prevention Officer Dave MacMullen says the fire, which began around 8:45 p.m. says the cause is believed to be electrical failure.
Firefighters from three Belleville stations arrived to find the detached garage fully involved upon arrival.
Tanker support was provided by Tyendinaga Fire.
The fire was was under control within half an hour but the garage and the contents are a complete loss.
Damage is estimated to be $75,000.
The family home didn’t sustain any damage during the blaze.
