UPDATE @ 3:15 p.m.: Fire officials say one person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after a blaze in Roblin Wednesday.
It happened at 149 Roblin Road just before noon, where Greater Napanee Emergency Services were called to the two-story home, which had smoke coming from a second floor window.
Deputy Fire Chief Bill Hammond tells Quinte News six people were home at the time, including three kids, two men and a woman, with one man taken to hospital after trying to fight the fire himself.
Hammond says the other two adults were both treated by paramedics at the scene and the kids weren’t hurt.
Firefighters had the flames out just before 3:00 p.m., but do remain on scene to make sure heavy winds and heat from the blaze don’t spark another fire.
Hammond says the cause of the fire is still under investigation as well and there is no estimate on any damage costs at this point.

Firefighters are battling a blaze in a home north of Highway 401 in Greater Napanee Wedneday.
Crews were called to 149 Roblin Road just before noon, after reports of a structure fire, with a social media post from Deputy Fire Chief Bill Hammond showing smoke visible from the upper floor of a two-storey home.
The post also says firefighters have made “a transitional attack on a contents fire” and are getting set to go inside the home to continue the firefight.
Other social media reports suggest at least two people are being treated by paramedics, but no other information was immediately available.
Quinte News has a reporter headed to the scene and we’ll provide updates to the story as more details come out.
