Another family physician has signed on with Docs by the Bay, formerly known as the Quinte West Physician Recruitment and Retention Program.
Dr. Jason Lorette signed a medical services contract with the city on Wednesday and will begin practicing later this year, with those details to be announced in the fall.
Lorette is a native of Nova Scotia and attended med school at Dalhousie University, before completing a residency at the University of Ottawa.
He has spent the last 12 years as a medical officer in the Canadian Forces and says moving to Quinte West will help “provide some geographical stability to his family”.
Dr. Lorette becomes the fifth doctor to sign on with Docs by the Bay over the past year and patients looking for a family doctor are being encouraged again to register with Ontario Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1822.
