Despite taking a loss last season the City of Belleville will again be running a park and ride shuttle to CAA Arena, on Belleville Sens’ game nights and for other events.
The service will operate the same as last season, leaving Quinte Mall every 10 minutes starting an hour from game time and then taking fans back to the mall post game, with a shuttle every 10 minutes as well.
However, the price has gone up to $3.00 per passenger, from $2.50 for a two-way ride.
The shuttle will pick up fans from the mall at the southwest corner by the Chapters/Starbucks, on the east side near Toys R Us and the southeast corner of Bell Boulevard and North Front Street, before continuing on to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
The city is also pushing it’s transit on demand option as a way to get to and from CAA Arena on game nights as well, which can be scheduled via a smartphone app, or by calling613-968-5888.
Riders who choose that option will be picked up at their nearest bus stop, then dropped off on the west side of CAA arena and will be dropped off at the same bus stop following the game.
The transit on demand service will cost the regular fare.
