Police say recently laid charges should serve as a reminder that you can’t dump your waste in unauthorized areas.
Northumberland OPP were called on Monday after a farmer on Brookside Road reported a load of shingles had been dumped in his soybean field.
A suspect vehicle had been seen leaving the area, just before the shingles were found and police were able to use that information to arrest two suspects in connection.
Forty-year-old Danny Vitali of Cobourg and 30-year-old Justin Young of Hamilton Township are both charged with mischief under $5,000.
They’ll both appear in court on September 25.
