Prince Edward OPP have made an arrest in connection with one of two break-ins at businesses in The County earlier this month.
Police were called to a business on Picton Main Street on August 2, after reports of a break-in and vandalism, totalling about $2,500 in damages.
The next day, a second break-in was reported on County Road 18 in Athol and a safe containing more than $1,000 was stolen.
An OPP forensics team attended both scenes to investigate and yesterday two suspects were arrested, in connection with the first break-in.
Eighteen-year-old Daniel Jacob Geertsma is charged with break and enter, mischief and breaching probation and will be in court in September.
Investigators say charges are also pending against a 13-year-old boy, whose name is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
There are no updates at this time relating to the second incident.
