A Picton woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant after police executed a search warrant at a housing complex yesterday.
Prince Edward OPP were initially looking for a man who was believed to be wanted in another jurisdiction, but found evidence of stolen property and a trace amount of meth inside the apartment, along with the wanted woman.
A few items seized as a result of the search include:
- two sets of bolt cutters and knives
- a hand drill
- weed eater along with two batteries and a charger
- a wallet and a package belonging to persons not associated to the location
- a trace amount of Methamphetamine
Thirty-year-old Stephanie Heslip of Picton is charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments and possession of a schedule one substance.
She was released with conditions and a court date on September 4.
Police say they are still looking for the man in question and plan to charge him with the same offences.
His name will be released once he’s arrested.
