A man who was reported missing by Cobourg Police on Monday is now wanted by the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad.
The ROPE Squad says Rodney Starke has breached his long term supervision order, resulting from a 17 year sentence for aggravated assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and drug trafficking.
He had recently been released from Warkworth Institution with those conditions in place.
The 58-year-old Starke is described as white, about six feet tall and 201 pounds and is bald, with hazel eyes.
He has several tattoos including a wizard on his left shoulder, a bird on his left ankle, Chinese writing on his head and a cat on his back.
Police say Starke is known to frequent Cobourg and Brighton and anyone who knows where he might be can contact them or Crimestoppers.
Meanwhile Cobourg Police say that, even with Starke being wanted, there is no risk to public safety in the town.
