It’s taken over a month, but a section of Trenton Frankford Road and Bernard Long Road will reopen to traffic on Friday.
The road has been closed from Plant Street to the Johnstown Road Bridge since June 15, when flooding from a dam malfunction severely damaged the road.
City staff say the road will reopen at noon on Friday, but will close again on Monday so contractors can complete their work, by putting down a final layer of asphalt, paint lines and complete the gravel shoulder.
Drivers are advised to use extra caution this weekend and drive slowly through the area until the work is complete.
Quinte West Council and staff are also thanking residents in that area for their cooperation during the reconstruction process.
