The Melrose Tal Trees beat up on the Parkhurst Pirates 8-1, with Scott Kelly throwing a complete game and 17 strikeouts in the win.
Ryan Abrams hit a three-run bomb.
And the Bain Excavating Rockies jumped into first place in the league with a 5-2 win over Maclan Designs.
Graham Fox had two RBI, Joe Blakely had four strikeouts in the win on the mound and Cody Maracle picked up a save and three strikeouts of his own.
Meanwhile, there were also a couple of games in the Senior Men’s Fastball League last night.
At the Alemite, the Tera Vista Rockies edged Duvall and Clark 3-2, thanks to a game-winning RBI from Ben Struthers.
Dan Wallwork and Craig Clossen combined for the win.
Also at the Alemite, Master Bedroom and Play It Again Sports tied 7-7.
Meanwhile in Frankford, Barry Danford Sons Construction beat the MJG Red Sox 4-3.
Adam Danford had a big night with the win and 10 strikeouts, while Will Claus allowed 3 hits and had 8 strikeouts in the loss.
Earlier in the week, during a make up game in Picton, MJG Electrical beat Tera Vista 7-0, with Dale Dowdal pitching a one-hit shutout, with 13 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Curtis Locke had a home run in that game, with Benny Emerson chipping in two RBI and Timm Card stealing three bases.
