Northumberland OPP have confirmed they are investigating a death near Campbellford.
Emergency responders were called to a home on Thomson Road, just before 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon and found two people, a man and woman, dead at the scene.
Reports yesterday said gun shots had been heard in the area, but police haven’t confirmed that and haven’t released any other details.
The Northumberland Crime Unit, Ontario Coroner’s Office and Central Region Forensics Team are investigating the deaths.
Police say there is no threat to public safety at this time.
