Quinte West OPP have arrested six people in connection to an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of dangerous drugs in the Quinte Region.
Members of various provincial police units and the Belleville Police Service executed multiple search warrants Thursday morning, as part of Project Raptor and found suspected fentanyl, cocaine, prescription opioids and Canadian cash.
Thirty-year-old David Ford, 57-year-old Robert Rowe and 57-year-old David Dagley of Belleville are all charged with trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Forty-year-old Nick O’Doherty and 40-year-old Amanda Swoffer, both of Stirling, are charged with trafficking cocaine and oxycodone, as well as possession of a firearm knowing the serial number has been tampered with.
Fifty-four-year-old Steve Adams, of Stirling, is charged with trafficking cocaine and altering the physical properties of cannabis by using an organic solvent.
All but two of the accused were held in custody for bail hearings later Thursday, with Dagley and Swoffer released, to appear in court on August 19.
Police say the investigation is continuing and anyone who might have information can contact them or Crimestoppers.
