A Belleville man has been charged in connection with an incident in Napanee back in the spring.
On May 13, Lennox and Addington OPP were called to a report of a suspicious object inside a garbage can at a business on Centre Street in Napanee.
Members of the OPP’s Explosives Disposal Unit removed it from the can and dismantled it.
Last week police executed a search warrant at a home in Belleville and arrested 22-year-old Jacob Stanzel.
He is charged with making or possessing an explosive device for an unlawful purpose.
Police say if you come across any hazardous material, or a suspicious device that you think may explode, you should never touch them and call police immediately.
