The local housing market in June seemed to be as hot as the weather has been lately.
The Quinte and District Association of Realtors is reporting a 21% increase in dollar sales for all property types in the region, compared to June of last year, with sales totalling more than $127.8 million.
Year-to-date figures show a steady progression of 6.5% compared to the first six months of 2018.
Residential dollar sales in June were also up 21.9% from the year before, to more than $117.7 million, with a 9.1% increase in year-to-date residential dollar sales.
The average price of a home is also up sharply from last year, to $367,983, a 14.7% increase, while the number of residential units sold in June is up 19, with year-to-date home sales down 1.6%.
