A motorcycle rider was injured in a crash on the eastbound Highway 401 on the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to the highway near the Salmon River Bridge, around 3:20 Saturday afternoon, where traffic had been stopped on the highway and the motorbike had hit the car in front of it.
Lennox and Addington OPP say the rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the road was shut down for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit looked into the crash.
Police say the driver of the car that was hit wasn’t hurt and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who may have seen the crash is being asked to call Lennox and Addington OPP or Crimestoppers.
