Northumberland OPP have identified the two people found inside a submerged vehicle last week.
OPP say the silver Subaru was found submerged west of the Murray Canal Swing Bridge on the morning of June 17, and two bodies were discovered inside the vehicle.
Police are now conducting a death investigation.
A post-mortem identified the two people as Nickolas Missios, 83, and Aspasia Missios, 83, of Scarborough, who were reported missing on June 6.
The OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate along with the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, Marine Unit, Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the Central Region Forensic Identification Services.
