A 41-year-old has been charged in connection with the death of an inmate at the Quinte Detention Centre earlier this year.
Thirty-one-year-old Hendrik Ryskamp of Kingston was found unresponsive at the Napanee jail on March 18 and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation by the Lennox and Addington OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch has led to the arrest of Berry Kerlovich of Napanee.
He’s been charged with manslaughter, possession and trafficking an opioid other than heroin. He is also an inmate at the Detention Centre.
He is scheduled for an appearance in Napanee Court on June 19.
