Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis expressed his support for a Queen Victoria Public School program.
Senior staff with the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board have decided to cancel the Adventure Class in two years time.
Ellis wrote a letter to Superintendent Laina Andrews urging reconsideration of the decision.
The regular provincially mandated curriculum from grades 1 to 6 is taught in a multi-age, multi-grade setting. This school year, there are 45 students in total being taught by two award winning teachers with a lot of parental and other volunteer involvement both in and outside of the classroom.
