Belleville Police arrested a 25-year-old local man after they were called regarding a shoplifter.
Officers attended the north end retail store on Friday around 6:45 p.m. after store security detained the man for stealing.
Police discovered Christopher Gray was on a number of probation orders as well.
He was released on a promise to appear in Belleville Court on July 4 to face charges of theft and three counts of breaching his probation.
