Prince Edward OPP say youths who drink alcohol are at higher risk of harm compared to adults, and decisions that are made while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can often lead to dangerous situation.
Constable Patrick Menard tells Quinte News, the Quinte Region’s rural setting can lead to some other unintended consequences.
Menard has some advice for parents as well.
Menard is also reminding potential prom party hosts that since many guests will be underage, there could be civil legal consequences, should something unfortunate happen.
