Four people have been charged in connection with a joint-forces drug investigation in the Quinte Region.
The OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Community Street Crime Unit and Belleville Police conducted six raids Thursday, May 16 in a targeted investigation into the sale and distribution of fentanyl and cocaine.
Officers seized a large amount of both drugs, prescription opioids and Canadian cash, all valued at more than $100,000.
Sixty-three-year-old John Glousher and 41-year-old Chelsie Geib of Quinte West, along with 43-year-old Russell Locklin are charged with:
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (opioids) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime in Canada under $5000
Meanwhile, 43-year-old Mirjana Celap of Belleville have been charged with:
- Possession of a substance in Schedule 1 (Cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime in Canada under $5000
A warrant was also issued for a 37-year-old woman connected to the case, as the investigation continues.
All of the accused were held for a bail hearing and were scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Friday, May 17.
