Provincial Police are investigating a break-in near Brighton late last week.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. last Thursday (May 9), at a home on Lawson Road, just east of Brighton.
Residents told police they were woken up by a light and saw a suspect reach through the window.
The homeowner yelled and the suspect pulled their arm back out of the house and was last seen running west on Lawson Road.
Northumberland OPP officers, the Central Region Canine Unit and Emergency Response team searched the area but no suspects were found.
