Quinte Conservation is issuing a flood watch specifically for Roblin Lake in Ameliasburgh.
The environmental agency says the lake has surpassed 1-in-100 year water levels and while there are no known structures within the floodplain, some area properties are experiencing flooded lawns.
QC does own a small dam on the outlet of Roblin Lake, but it has no logs in it currently, allowing for continuous outflows.
If you live in the area and need sandbags to protect your property, you’re advised to contact Prince Edward County officials and to report any flooding observations via quinteconservation.ca.
The watch will be updated, or downgraded, if there are any new developments.
