Suspended Driver
Belleville, Ontario – On May 2, 2019 at 7:45 p.m. while conducting general patrol, Police observed a vehicle with an obstructed licence plate which was travelling west on Dundas Street East. Police initiated a traffic stop and an investigation revealed that the driver was suspended. The driver was also operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and no currently validated permit. The driver was subsequently charged for the above offences and given a court date in June to face the charges.
Male Arrested on Warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On May 3, 2019 at 3:15 a.m., Police arrested a 29-year-old Belleville man on an outstanding warrant for theft under $5000 out of Kingston. The male was held and transported to Kingston to face the charges.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ontario – Between May 2 and May 3, 2019, Belleville Police responded to four motor vehicle collisions.
On May 2, 2019 at 5:55 p.m. Police responded to College Street East for a collision between two motor vehicles. Minor injuries were reported and a Belleville female was charged with careless driving.
On May 2, 2019 at 9:10 a.m., Police responded to a parking lot at Bridge Street and Sidney Street for a two vehicle collision. No injuries were reported and there was minor damage to the vehicles.
