In the very early morning at approximately 1:20 a.m. on April 25, 2019 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.
Officers observed a motor vehicle approach the RIDE program and quickly make a U-turn and attempt to avoid the Police. The driver was unable to do so properly and ended up driving into the ditch further up the highway.
Officers followed and located the vehicle and placed the driver under arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Bradley Rallison, 26 years of age, of Bancroft Ontario has been charged with:
- Flight from peace officer
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
- Novice driver – B.A.C above zero
- Careless driving
- Driving while under suspension.
He was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 14, 2019.
