The mayor of Belleville hosted the first annual Prayer Breakfast Tuesday morning
Mitch Panciuk welcomed members of the faith community from around the city.
He spoke to the importance of the community service that faith groups provide the city.
Panciuk says many jurisdictions around the world have similar events.
During the first annual event, Panciuk quoted scripture and noted the importance of giving.
He spoke words of giving from the Torah.
Panciuk also quoted words from the Islamic tradition.
Dignitaries with numerous communities spoke bringing words of support, morality, and prayer as well.
