Plans are in the works for a new piece of outdoor art representing the City of Quinte West.
The City’s Corporate Finance Committee has recommended council approve the design of an artistic “globe” to be fashioned from steel.
Chair of the committee Councillor Karen Sharpe says a working group from all four wards will work with Horizon Metalworks on a design.
The size of the globe and where it would be installed on a concrete pad have yet to be decided. Costs won’t be known until design work is complete.
