Another Quinte Red Devils Hockey Club has earned a provincial medal.
The Madison Excavating Peewees picked up a silver medal while hosting the OMHA Championships at CAA Arena in Belleville this past weekend.
While Quinte was already guaranteed a spot in the tournament as hosts, after winning last year’s OMHA tournament, they still swept three-game playoff series with the Central Ontario Wolves and Markham Waxers, to earn their way in.
Quinte had wins over Grey Bruce and Southern Tier, a tie with York Simcoe and a loss to the Waxers over the weekend which guaranteed them a spot in the final.
But it was a familiar foe in the Waxers skating to a 4-1 in the championship game.
The Peewee Red Devils players and staff are thanking the entire community for its support over the course of the season and the championship weekend.
