A convicted murderer has died at Millhaven Institution in Bath.
Prison officials say 78-year-old Peter Brooks died of apparent natural causes in the regional treatment centre on Wednesday and that his next of kin have been notified.
Brooks had been serving an indeterminate sentence for second degree murder since January 16, 2017.
While the cause is suspected to be natural, the Correctional Service of Canada will investigate, as it does in all cases of inmates dying in custody.
