There was a scary incident at a north end Belleville elementary school late Wednesday morning.
City police responded in numbers to the school shortly before noon after reports of a teenager barricading himself in a room while armed with a knife.
Officers took the 13 year-old boy into custody without incident. No one was injured.
He was placed in a youth diversion program and no charges were laid.
