Lawyer Phillip Lawrence of Orno defeated former Brighton Mayor Mark Walas, Grant Dingwall (who has worked in Rona Ambrose’s office and for former MPP Rob Milligan), Sarah Honey (who worked for former MP Rick Norlock and with the National Conservative Caucus Chair) and finally businessman John Sorrell.
Lawrence will run against against Liberal incumbent Kim Rudd.
The election took place at St Mary Catholic School at Cobourg.
In the Quinte News area ridings of Hastings Lennox & Addington, Bay of Quinte, and Northumberland Peterborough South, the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party have named their candidates.
No NDP, Green, or other party candidates in the area are known at this time.
